Join Our Coalition to Pass a Public Camping Ban in King County

The Quality of Life Coalition is a movement of rational King County voters—across party lines—united by the belief that we must act now to end the addiction crisis and restore affordability and safety in our communities.

Our Plan to End Homelessness in King County:

Step 1: Public Camping Ban

We are gathering 50,000 signatures to place a countywide charter amendment on the ballot, banning public camping and mandating direction to shelter.

Step 2: Short-Term Shelter Expansion

Open 3,000+ low-barrier shelter beds in 3 months using vacant buildings and proven models like No Child Sleeps Outside.

Step 3: 3 Strikes = Mandatory Rehab

If someone commits three crimes linked to addiction—such as OD’ing, theft, or public drug use—they’ll be placed in a 6-month involuntary rehab program followed by 6 months of transitional housing and job placement.

Step 4: The Fentanyl 5

If you’re dealing fentanyl or meth and you’re not an addict, that’s 5 years in jail. Period.

About the Coalition:

We are not aligned with any political party. We are business owners, public servants, artists, parents, renters, and homeowners—united in common cause. Together, we’re pushing for action, not platitudes.
